Volunteers

PNEHS depends on volunteers to carryout its mission. There are opportunities in several areas and for varying amounts of time—from one-time or occasional tasks for a few hours to longer commitments as officers, board members, or serving on committees. We offer opportunities for students or businesses to participate in community service. Volunteers can put their skills and interest to work or learn new skills plus getting to know other people and learning more about the community.

It’s a fun and rewarding experience.

Examples of specific needs include: cottage rental management and hospitality tasks, handy-man tasks (restoration projects, painting), education programs (training as docents- guides in museum, help with student field trips), exhibit development, marketing, website management, newsletter production, photography, gift shop sales, staffing special events, grant writing, filing, computer input.
